Amalfi Coast
Amalfi Coast Drive, Ravello, Positano
We lost another soldier today, Randy is sick. So we go forth with 14 of us for the breathtaking Amalfi Coast Drive. The 32 mile stretch of curves and endless panoramas of sparkling sea is one of the most famous drives in all of Europe. We are headed for the cascading towns of Positano and Ravello pearched high above the sea.
In Positano you are greeted by colorfully painted buildings pouring out of the steep mountains and cliffs, rocky turns make for a scary ride. Positano is the most beautiful town along the entire Amalfi Coast.
We walked around the town a bit then off to Amalfi. Walked around that town a bit then off to Ravello.
Ravello is only 10 miles away, but the hairpin turns makes it a longer trip than you would expect. We went to a restaurant where most of us had the Maison Special. A trio of homemade pastas and the local wine.
Shopping for the limoncello, meloncello and coffecello.
Many many pictures which I will have to post later.
Off to dinner………
